Meet our winemaker, Grayson Stewart.

Growing up in California’s Central Valley, Grayson Stewart found his passion for grape-growing and winemaking at an early age. With a winemaker for an uncle, he worked his first (and second and third) grape harvests before he was of legal drinking age. It was his first harvest that inspired his decision to pursue an enology degree, which thrust him into winemaking as a full-time profession. Grayson’s passion has taken him up and down the California coastline, working in some of the state’s (and the world’s) most renowned winegrowing regions. Grayson believes wine is meant to be shared and enjoyed by everyone, and views winemaking as a true creative endeavor.

At Dreaming Tree Wines, Grayson pairs his winemaking skills with the creativity of musician Dave Matthews to craft a collection of wines that are approachable, easy-drinking, yet distinctive enough to create a mark. You might know Dave from his day job as a professional musician, but his passion for winemaking stretches back nearly as far as his love for music. With a winery in Virginia under his belt, Dave’s no amateur, and in working alongside Grayson Stewart, Dave is able to bring his passion for wine to life.
